چکیده

The world of construction, and especially the area underground works, is immersed in a constant state innovation development. In this area, numerous innovative variables are handled, both improvements to material properties construction technology new user requirements demands. Throughout history, civil engineering has had offer support for needs comfort, aesthetics, sustainability worker safety, among others. Of these, latter most important it achieved increasing relevance recent years. This research intended comprehensive solution tunnelling process, beneath phreatic surfaces geological conditions with low cohesive strength subject high pressures. intention treat soil via injections applied from inside machine review replace worn tooling on its cutting wheel. proposed consists installation high-frequency perforation unit hydroshield tunneller. device analysed determine whether offers requirements. results obtained confirm 15% improvement compared existing solutions, greater efficiency execution speed while proving be safer technique terms preventing labour-related risks offering respect environment. Keywords: Subsea tunnel, Ground treatment, Water table, Injections, TBM, Hydroshields.

Moving Load Analysis of Submerged Floating Tunnels

The concept of floating submerged tunnels becomes increasingly attractive idea to cross the straits. The structural solution in these bridges includes buoyancy force on tunnel body plus tension in mooring tethers. This paper investigates the effect of submergence on the dynamic response of submerged floating tunnels due to moving load. The inertial effect of the fluid on the submerged structure...

Experimental Investigation on the Deviated Sediment and Flow to Sediment Bypass Tunnels (SBTs) Using Submerged Plates

Sediment Bypass Tunnels (SBTs) are deviant channels that convey the current containing sediments from the upstream of the reservoir to the downstream of the dam. In this research, by applying submerged plates on the entrance of a 90-degree diversion channel for sediment transport, the effect of hydraulic parameters of flow and changes in the angle of plates on sediment transport and deviated fl...

The Study of Improvement of Dispersive Soil Using Magnetic Field

In this study, the feasibility of using magnetic technology to reduce the dispersion of soil has been investigated. The reference treatment was potable water and 3 magnetic water devices (with different magnetic intensities) were used for magnetizing the potable water. The results showed that the magnetic field has a significant effect in order of 5 percent on increasing of magnesium concentrat...

Improvement of petroleum hydrocarbon remediation using the oat plant in the soil treated by poultry manure

This greenhouse experiment aimed to investigate the effects of poultry manure (PM) on the growth of oat plant (Avena sativa) and removal of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) from soil. The treatments consisted of three TPH levels (4%, 6%, and 8% w/w) and two PM levels (zero and 1%) at three replications. According to the findings, shoot height, number of leaves, and the fresh and dry...

Improvement of Xylanase Production by Cochliobolus sativus in Submerged Culture

The xylanase production by a new Cochliobolus sativus Cs5 strain was improved under submerged fermentation. The xylanase was induced by xylan and repressed by glucose, sucrose, maltose, xylose, starch and cellulose. Highest enzyme production (98.25 IU/mL) was recorded when wheat straw (4 % by mass per volume) was used as a carbon source after 120 h of incubation. NaNO3 increased xylanase produc...
